Crimes of the Week
July 2008

July 30, 2008

This week Crime Solvers needs your help with an armed robbery in Petersburg.

On Sunday, July 20 at 6:30 in the morning, a Taco Bell employee in her 70s unlocked the door and entered the restaurant at 3919 South Crater Road. Already inside was a bandana wearing black male standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing a gray jacket. He said, "open the safe or I will kill you!" He repeated his demands until the employee handed him money. The robber put her in the storage freezer. The broom he used to reinforce the door shut could not stop her from getting out and calling police.

The same store also had a theft of frozen meat products in recent weeks prior to this incident.
